- Worsted weight cotton yarn, approximately 25g yellow
- Worsted weight cotton yarn, approximately 15g black
- Small amount of white cotton yarn for wings (about 8g)
- 2.75 mm crochet hook
- 8 mm black safety eyes (1 pair)
- Polyester fiberfill stuffing, approximately 20g
- Yarn needle for sewing pieces together
- Small embroidery scissors
- Stitch markers
- Row counter (optional but helpful)
- Black embroidery floss for the smile
- Fabric glue (optional, for securing knots)
- MR – Magic Ring
- ch – Chain
- sc – Single Crochet
- inc – Increase (2 sc in one stitch)
- dec – Invisible Decrease
- sl st – Slip Stitch
- st – Stitch
- rnd – Round
- FO – Fasten Off
- BLO – Back Loop Only
- FLO – Front Loop Only

1. Crochet the Bee Body
This section creates the main body from the bottom upward.
- Rnd 1: Make a MR, work 6 sc into the ring. [6 sts]
- Rnd 2: Inc in each stitch around. [12 sts]
- Rnd 3: (sc, inc) around. [18 sts]
- Rnd 4: (2 sc, inc) around. [24 sts]
- Rnd 5: (3 sc, inc) around. [30 sts]
- Rnds 6-8: Sc in each stitch around. [30 sts each round]
- Change to black yarn.
- Rnds 9-10: Sc around. [30 sts]
- Change back to yellow yarn.
- Continue alternating 2 rounds yellow and 2 rounds black until you have 18 total body rounds.
- Insert the 8 mm safety eyes between Rounds 9 and 10, leaving 7 stitches between them.
- Begin stuffing firmly.
Pro Tip: Keep adding small amounts of stuffing as you work instead of waiting until the very end.

2. Shape and Close the Body — crochet
This section forms the rounded top.
- Rnd 19: (3 sc, dec) around. [24 sts]
- Rnd 20: Sc around. [24 sts]
- Rnd 21: (2 sc, dec) around. [18 sts]
- Add more fiberfill stuffing until the body feels firm but not stretched.
- Rnd 22: (sc, dec) around. [12 sts]
- Rnd 23: Dec around. [6 sts]
- Cut yarn, thread through remaining stitches, pull tightly closed, and weave in the end securely.
Pro Tip: Invisible decreases help keep your amigurumi looking smooth and professional.

3. Crochet the Wings
These tiny wings give the bee its signature charm.
- Using white yarn, make a MR.
- Work 6 sc into the ring.
- Ch 2.
- Work 2 dc, 2 hdc, sl st into the ring.
- Ch 2 again.
- Repeat the previous petal to create the second half of the wing.
- Tighten the magic ring.
- Make a second identical wing.
- Leave a 20 cm tail for sewing.
